Cross Country skiing is a high-energy output activity, so you'll generate plenty of heat.
Dress accordingly by using a layering system. Start with a base layer made of a fabric that
will transfer your sweat from your skin and keep you dry, polypro or polartech for example.
Add insulation layer(s), like a fleece, to keep you warm, but don't overdo it. Finally, add
an outer layer that will protect both your upper and lower body from wind and snow. On warmer
days (over 40 degrees) the base and outer layer will probably suffice.
