Learn to Love the Tri Swim

Many triathletes find the swim the toughest event. But in many ways, that's ironic. First, it usually takes the least time. Second, swimming is generally less taxing on the body than cycling and running, particularly forgiving to leg muscles and knee joints. Third, unless open water conditions are bad, the energy expended during a swim does not typically match the bike ride and the run (unless you're a pro).
