Elbows To Ears

Here's a simple way to improve your overall speed. Since water is many hundreds of times more dense than air, steamlined form underwater can translate to increased speed. As you push off each wall, make sure your elbows are pressed tightly against your ears, and your hands are overlapping (remember to keep that head down too!) Lifting your head from between your arms prematurely will slow you down. You can practice this technique on the pool deck.
