Mind Water Temperatures

What's the best water temperature to swim in? Optimal temperature for lap swimming is 78-82 degrees. Over 82 can be uncomfortably warm while working out, and in water higher than 85 you risk overheating during a hard workout. Most people can adapt well to temperatures as low as the mid-60s if they keep moving fast enough to maintain body temperature.
