The Marathon - Cramping

If you feel your legs cramping in the latter stages of the marathon, don't stop at water stations--or at any other time. Instead sip your water while you jog very slowly. This keeps the muscles working in harmony. When you stop completely, the blood pools, circulation slows, and cramping and stiffness may increase.
