Hill Training - Resistance Training

Famed New Zealand coach Arthur Lydiard maintains that hills are the only beneficial type of resistance training for runners, and that hill training will enable you to run better on all types of terrain. Hills strengthen running muscles while they are running. This gives functional strength as opposed to the specific and limited strength of weight training.
