The best training program for you is the one that meets your particular needs.
This applies to beginners as well as the world-class runners. Don't adopt the
successful program of a friend. Although he is succeeding, he may be improving
on inborn talent in spite of his program. All of us have strengths,
weaknesses, and limitations which need to be considered in customizing a program.
It's fine to try new training ideas, but experiment with only one at a time.
Then blend the successful ones into your program to fit your own demands, rest
needs and current level of performance.
