Road Rash Repair

If you've crashed on your bike or taken a tumble on a steep trail while running, you're familiar with the painful abrasions often called "road rash." When you get a case, scrub the wound thoroughly to remove all the embedded dirt and gravel, then keep it moist with an antibiotic salve and keep it covered with a sterile gauze dressing until it heals. Contrary to popular belief, you should not let a scab form.
