Fast Cash

Always carry some money stashed in a plastic bag in the spare tire bag under your saddle. Fold up several quarters in a five-dollar bill, tuck them in the bag and secure with a rubber band. The plastic bag will keep your cash dry in case of rain and if you run out of food on a long ride, you can plunk your money down at a convenience store for more rations. Or you can always call home for a lift.
