Sore Toes?

If you have developed sore toes on a long ride or tour, take a tip from pro riders and cut a hole out of your shoe right over the sore spot. It may seem unthinkable to slice up a perfectly good pair of cycling shoes but alleviating painful pressure might make it possible to finish the tour in comfort. And if your toes are sore, the shoes were probably too tight anyway.
