Heading into the Headwinds

Strong headwinds are tough. You know where the top of the longest hill is located, but headwinds seem to go on forever. The solution? Don't fight Mother Nature. Gear down so you can maintain a comfortable cadence. Go into the wind on the outward leg of your ride and return with a tailwind-it's mentally easier to have a fast ride home to look forward to. Don't wear a baggy jacket. It will catch the wind and slow you down even more.
