Maybe you've seen serious male cyclists with their legs shaved and wondered why they do it. It's more than vanity (although shaving does make the muscles stand out). The reason to shave is that it's easier to clean up scrapes on hairless legs if you fall, and bandages are easier to remove from bare skin.
