How to Handle Armwarmers

If you ride early in the day when it's cool, you've probably learned about armwarmers, fabric tubes that slip over your arms and under your jersey sleeves. They're great for breaking a dawn chill and they're easy to peel off while riding. Simply sit up with your left hand on the handlebars, pull the left warmer down to the wrist with your right hand, and then pull it over your hand. Leaving it in your right hand, pull the right warmer off your arm so it comes down over the left warmer you're holding. That way, one armwarmer is inside the other so they can be safely stowed in your jersey pocket with less chance they'll fall or blow out as you ride. Alternatively, you can pull them down to your wrists and leave them there if you feel you might need to pull them back on later in the ride.
