Keeping Well Fed and Hydrated

You should drink several swallows from your bottle or hydration pack every 15 minutes. Set a wristwatch alarm to remind you if you tend to forget. Also, eat half an energy bar every 30 minutes on the ride. Do this even if you ate a good breakfast several hours before the start. Though you may not feel hungry at first, keep eating and you'll have the energy at the end of the ride to finish strong.
