Top-10 Motivators to Get Moving. 10 ways to refute someone who is making excuses for not working out
1. We all have priorities and choices. Set a goal and use that goal as a means to shift your
priorities and focus.
2. Discipline comes from doing the things you know you need to do when you most
feel like not doing them. Discipline comes from making the hard choices and
really fine-tuning your priorities.
3. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
4. When was the last time you were proud of yourself?
5. How do you want to feel when youre pushing 60? The habits you create now will help
ensure good health in your later years.
6. The key to starting on the road to fitness is just to start. Period. Start with one
baby step. For example, park your car far away for all your errands. Take a walk around the block
with your kids after dinner. Drink a glass of water with each of your meals. Start very small and
build on that one small step toward your goals. The all-or-nothing thinking usually
produces nothing. Start small and go from there.
7. What are you believing about yourself that is preventing you from taking care of your
health? We all have 24 hours in a day. What is taking up all of your time? Is this how you want to
spend your day? Take 15 minutes of me time and you will be amazed at how much
more time you have for everyone else.
8. Being in good health and good shape carries over into all areas of our lives. You
can get thorough the grocery store much quicker and you have more energy to play with your children
and take care of all the other activities in your day. Youll sleep better and look better. You
already know all the health benefits, so the choice youre really making is not to care
for yourself. Why would you choose that?
9. Dont wait till you feel like it because that rarely happens. Just
do it and youll always be glad you took care of your health.
10. We all have our bad days. Remember to put your best foot forward each day and know there
will be detours along the way. Just dont give
up!
